WELDER

Metex Manufacturing is seeking CWB-certified welders to join its team.

Welders will be expected to perform the following tasks:

  • Be skillful in the fusing of metals using prescribed welding applications
  • Have working knowledge of the welding equipment involved with the various welding procedures
  • Comprehend drawings and develop layout patterns for projects and calculate quantities of materials
  • Have thorough knowledge of metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filler rods
  • Recognize defective welds; know the cause and proper procedure for the repair of the defective area
  • Have working knowledge of mathematical calculations pertaining to the welding trade
  • Have working knowledge of the required codes
  • Be familiar with the work of other tradespeople in affiliated trades
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with quality and production standards required by industry

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Metex Manufacturing is seeking an Account Manager to join its team.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Must have a can-do, customer service first attitude
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Plan and specification comprehension
  • Able to Work in a fast-paced environment

The Account Manager’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Calling on existing customer accounts and increasing sales revenues
  • Working to generate new accounts
  • Providing accurate and prompt quotes
  • Following up on quotes and awarded projects
  • Coordinating quotes and deliveries with other staff
  • Helping to resolve customer concerns
  • Assisting the accounts receivable department in collecting monies when needed
  • Working closely with other departments
  • Ability to schedule and manage workday, meetings, customer visits, etc.
